One of the things that my mother always made that everyone loved was her Macaroni and Cheese casserole. It is full of cheesy goodness and making it with the starch water from cooking the noodles thickens it nicely without the addition of eggs.

Description

A simple macaroni and cheese casserole with few ingredients.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Prepare noodles according to package directions. Make sure to salt water generously.

  2. Drain most of the water off of the noodles.

    Water level should be just barely below noodles.
  3. Add evaporated milk, salt, and pepper to the noodles and water. Stir to combine.

  4. Spray a casserole dish with a non-stick spray. Layer noodles and then cheese. Alternating each and ending with cheese on the top.

  5. Bake in the oven until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. About 30 minutes.
