Cooking with Kids and maybe YouTube

I love to cook. I hope to pass that love of cooking on to my grandchildren. On that note, I’ve been asked how I manage to cook in the kitchen with children under the age of 5. Well, it isn’t easy all the time. My three-year-old granddaughter is eager and determined. She wants to do things she possibly can’t do, but refuses to take no for an answer. So I have to adapt what she can and can’t do in the kitchen. (Her dad recently broke her stool, so now she can help even less)

Since being asked about cooking with children, I’ll probably add a few posts (and recipes) with tips for cooking with children, including what they can and can’t do. Just note that it does get messy, but cleaning is also a part of cooking.

I have also considered starting a YouTube channel so that I can post video content with my recipes. I may not be ready to start this until around April, but it is something that is in the planning stages.

Just stay tuned as we start to grow.

I am a southern girl born and raised in South Carolina. I grew up knowing I wanted to become a writer. When I'm not teaching middle school ELA, I'm either writing for my blogs or writing books.

For the most part, I'm usually sweet, always sassy with a side of sarcasm, and definitely Southern.
